We just received dx this past ...Thank you for this. We just received dx this past Monday, and while our experience was not as extreme as yours, there was this expectation I would be devastated. I had feelings, to be sure: relief to be confirmed, and wishing I knew sooner, but my son is still the same boy and I have no desire to "change his brain," (his concern when we were going for evaluation). There is absolutely no need to "fix" him.
